Life insurance

Protection for the income your family is counting on.

Life insurance is a way to protect income, cover a promise you have already made, and build a base for financial independence. We compare carriers so the policy fits the budget and the timeline.

Life insurance on your terms. An older couple stands with a family in a field.

As an independent brokerage we work for you, not the insurance companies. We compare top-rated national carriers and design a strategy around your budget, family milestones, and longer-term goals.

Coverage options

1. Term life: protection for a set number of years

Term coverage, often 10, 20, or 30 years, pays the highest death benefit for the lowest premium. It fits:

2. Indexed universal life and other permanent insurance

Permanent coverage lasts for life as long as premiums are paid. Along with the death benefit, the policy has a cash value that grows tax-deferred.

3. Living benefits

Many modern policies include accelerated death benefit riders. You can access part of the death benefit, tax-free, while you are living if you face:

Riders vary by carrier. We read the trigger language with you before you buy.

4. Final expense and senior whole life

These whole life policies are built to cover end-of-life costs so the people left behind are not raising money for a funeral. They typically offer a guaranteed coverage amount, a fixed premium, and simplified underwriting for older adults.

How much coverage do you need?

The useful number is the gap between what you owe and what you have promised: income for the years someone depends on you, the mortgage, other debts, education, and final expenses, minus savings and coverage you already own. Employer group life is rarely the whole answer. We will do that math with you rather than hand you a generic multiple of salary.

Questions we hear

Isn’t the life insurance at work enough?

Employer group life is a good perk, and it is often only one or two times salary. That may not cover a mortgage or a long stretch of lost income. It also rarely comes with you if you change jobs or start a business. An individual policy stays in force wherever the career goes.

Can I get coverage with a pre-existing condition?

Often, yes. Carriers specialize in different health profiles. Because we are independent, we know which underwriting guides are kinder to a specific condition.

What is the difference between term and whole life?

Term covers you for a set number of years at a lower cost and does not build cash value. Whole life, and universal life, are permanent. Premiums can be guaranteed, and cash value accumulates and can be accessed over time.

How fast is a quote?

For certain guaranteed-issue policies, an accurate quote takes less than two minutes. Fully underwritten policies take longer because a carrier is reviewing health history.
